Cool Whip and Pudding Frosting
Ingredients:
1 package (3.4 oz) instant pudding mix (any flavor)
1 cup milk
1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
Directions:
Prepare the Pudding:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and milk until the pudding is fully dissolved and starts to thicken. This should take about 2 minutes.
Fold in the Cool Whip:
Gently fold the thawed Cool Whip into the pudding mixture using a spatula or spoon. Be careful not to overmix, as you want to keep the mixture light and airy.
Add Vanilla (Optional):
If desired, stir in the vanilla extract for additional flavor. If you prefer a sweeter frosting, mix in the powdered sugar to taste.
Chill:
Refrigerate the frosting for about 30 minutes to set and firm up before using. This also helps the flavors meld together.
Frost:
Use the frosting to frost cakes, cupcakes, or other baked goods. It can also be used as a filling for cakes or as a topping for desserts.
