🌮 Easy Ground Beef Taco Recipe
Serves: 4 | Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 15 min
🧄 Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade—see below)
1/2 cup water
8 small taco shells or tortillas
Toppings of choice: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, salsa, jalapeños, cilantro
🍴 Instructions:
Cook the beef:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Add flavor:
Add the chopped onion (if using) and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until softened.
Season:
Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/2 cup water. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and is well combined.
Assemble the tacos:
Warm the taco shells in the oven or microwave. Spoon the beef mixture into each shell.
Top & Serve:
Add your favorite taco toppings and serve immediately. Enjoy!

1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp cayenne (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
