Lazy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
Mix the Wet Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and continue whisking until fully combined.
Add the Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Fold in the Chocolate Chips:
Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Bake the Cookie Bars:
Transfer the dough to the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve:
Allow the cookie bars to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment paper overhang.
Once cooled completely, cut into squares and serve.
