Baked Cream Cheese Spaghetti
Ingredients:
8 oz spaghetti
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1/2 cup tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Salt and black pepper, to taste
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cook Spaghetti:
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare Meat Sauce:
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is translucent.
Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Make Cream Cheese Mixture:
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Combine Ingredients:
Add the cooked spaghetti to the meat sauce and mix well to combine.
Gently fold in the cream cheese mixture until evenly distributed.
Transfer to Baking Dish:
Pour the spaghetti and sauce mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
Add Cheese:
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the top is lightly golden.
Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley, if desired. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
