Crispy Cheddar Chicken (Baked) Recipe
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or regular)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons milk
1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare Breading Station:
Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour seasoned with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and one with a mixture of shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
Bread the Chicken:
Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Dip the chicken into the egg mixture, then press it into the cheese and breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it is well coated on all sides.
Arrange in Baking Dish:
Place the breaded chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the chicken.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden and crispy. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C).
Serve:
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Pair it with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad.
