Slow Cooker Broccoli Bacon Macaroni and Cheese
Ingredients:
16 oz elbow macaroni
3 cups fresh broccoli florets
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 cups milk
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1/2 cup sour cream
4 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Cook the Pasta:
Cook the macaroni according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Broccoli:
Steam the broccoli florets until they are tender but still bright green. Set aside.
Combine the Ingredients in the Slow Cooker:
In a slow cooker, combine the cooked macaroni, steamed broccoli, and crumbled bacon.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, milk, evaporated milk, sour cream, cream cheese, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Cook in the Slow Cooker:
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
The cheese should be fully melted and the sauce creamy.
