Cheesy Chicken and Biscuit Bake Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuits
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare Chicken Mixture:
In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed. Add 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese and mix until combined.
Assemble the Bake:
Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Add Biscuits:
Separate the biscuits and place them on top of the chicken mixture. Leave a little space between each biscuit to allow them to expand as they bake. Brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
Add Cheese and Finish Baking:
Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve:
Let the bake cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
