Reese’s Peanut Butter Oreo Truffles Recipe
Ingredients:
1 package (15.25 oz) Oreo cookies
1 cup creamy peanut butter
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate coating)
Instructions:
Prepare the Oreo Mixture:
Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they are finely crushed.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos, peanut butter, and softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined and smooth.
Form the Truffles:
Using a cookie scoop or your hands, roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.
Melt the Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
Coat the Truffles:
Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate mixture, using a fork to help coat and lift them out. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the truffle back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
Optional Garnish:
If desired, sprinkle additional crushed Oreos or mini Reese’s Pieces on top of the truffles before the chocolate sets.
Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the coated truffles until the chocolate is completely set, about 30 minutes.
Store:
Store the Reese’s Peanut Butter Oreo Truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
