Reese’s Oreo Balls
Ingredients:
1 (14 oz) package of Oreo cookies
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup Reese’s peanut butter cups, chopped
12 oz semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips (for dipping)
2 tablespoons peanut butter (optional, for drizzling)
Crushed Oreos or chopped peanuts (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Oreo Mixture:
In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until they are finely ground into crumbs.
In a large bowl, mix the Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese until well combined. Stir in the chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups.
2. Form the Balls:
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You should have about 24-30 balls.
Chill the balls in the refrigerator or freezer for about 20-30 minutes to firm them up.
3. Melt the Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
4. Dip the Oreo Balls:
Using a fork or a toothpick, dip each Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. Let the excess chocolate drip off and place the coated balls back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
5. Optional Drizzle and Garnish:
If desired, melt the peanut butter and drizzle it over the chocolate-coated Oreo balls. You can also sprinkle them with crushed Oreos or chopped peanuts for added texture.
6. Chill and Serve:
Let the Oreo balls set in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes until the chocolate is firm. Once set, serve and enjoy!
