Creamy Garlic Butter Parmesan Chicken

Creamy Garlic Butter Parmesan Chicken

Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup heavy cream
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional, for thickening)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:
Season the Chicken:
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
Cook the Chicken:
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté the garlic for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Add the Cream and Broth:
Stir in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream, and if the sauce is too thin, you can whisk in the tablespoon of flour to thicken it slightly.
Add Parmesan:
Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until it melts into the sauce. Let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes to thicken and become creamy.
Return the Chicken:
Add the chicken breasts back into the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Let everything simmer together for a few minutes to combine the flavors.
Serve:
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve the creamy garlic butter Parmesan chicken with pasta, rice, or steamed vegetables.
