Cheddar Ranch Chicken Burgers

Cheddar Ranch Chicken Burgers

Ingredients:
1 lb ground chicken
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 packet ranch seasoning mix (or 2 tablespoons homemade ranch seasoning)
1 large egg
½ cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 hamburger buns
Lettuce, tomato, and red onion slices for serving (optional)
Ranch dressing for topping (optional)

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken Patty Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and parsley (if using).
Mix everything together gently, making sure the ingredients are evenly distributed but not over-mixed.
2. Shape the Patties:
Divide the chicken mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Make sure they’re about the same size for even cooking.
3. Preheat the Grill or Stovetop:
If grilling, preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
If cooking on the stovetop, heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add a little oil to the pan.
4. Cook the Burgers:
Grill or cook the chicken patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the cheese is melted inside.
If desired, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the pan for a minute or two until lightly golden.
5. Assemble the Burgers:
Place the cooked cheddar ranch chicken burger on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
Top with lettuce, tomato slices, red onion slices, and a drizzle of ranch dressing (optional).
Add the top bun and serve immediately.
