Philly Cheese Steak Crescent Ring
Ingredients:
1 lb thinly sliced beef steak (or deli roast beef)
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
2 cans (8 oz each) crescent roll dough
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 egg, beaten (for brushing)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Sauté Vegetables: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced bell pepper and onion. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until soft. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Cook Steak: In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced steak. Season with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
Prepare Crescent Dough: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). On a parchment-lined baking sheet, arrange the crescent roll dough triangles in a circular ring with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the pointed ends facing outward.
Assemble: Place the cooked steak, onions, peppers, and shredded provolone in a circular shape over the wide ends of the crescent dough. Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling, tucking them under to secure.
Bake: Brush the dough with the beaten egg for a golden finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, then slice and serve warm.
