Reuben Crescent Rolls
Ingredients:
1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls
1/2 lb corned beef (thinly sliced)
1/2 cup sauerkraut (drained and patted dry)
4 slices Swiss cheese (cut in half)
1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
Caraway seeds (optional, for topping)
Directions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
Layer the Filling: Spread a thin layer of Thousand Island dressing onto each triangle of dough. Add a slice of corned beef, a spoonful of sauerkraut, and half a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each.
Roll the Crescents: Starting from the wider end, carefully roll each crescent up, ensuring the filling is tightly enclosed. Place the rolled crescents onto the prepared baking sheet.
Egg Wash and Topping: Brush the tops of the crescent rolls with beaten egg to give them a golden finish. If desired, sprinkle with caraway seeds for an authentic Reuben flavor.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Serve with extra Thousand Island dressing for dipping, if desired.
