Tortilla Pizza Rolls
Ingredients:
4 large flour tortillas
1 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or any preferred toppings like cooked sausage, bell peppers, etc.)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp olive oil
Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Prepare Tortillas:
Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface. Spread about 2-3 tablespoons of pizza sauce evenly across each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
Add the Cheese and Toppings:
Sprinkle a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza sauce, followed by pepperoni slices or your desired toppings. Add Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
Season:
Sprinkle Italian seasoning and garlic powder over the cheese and toppings.
Roll the Tortillas:
Starting from one end, tightly roll the tortilla up into a log. Slice each rolled tortilla into 1-inch sections, creating small pinwheels.
Bake:
Place the tortilla pizza rolls on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down. Lightly brush each roll with olive oil to help them crisp up in the oven.
Cook:
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tortillas are golden brown and crispy.
Serve:
Remove from the oven and allow the pizza rolls to cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired, and serve with additional pizza sauce for dipping.
