French Dip Sliders
Ingredients:
12 slider buns
1 pound roast beef, thinly sliced
12 slices provolone cheese
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1 can (10.5 oz) beef consommé or beef broth (for dipping)
Directions:
Prepare the Buns:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact. Place the bottom halves of the buns in a greased baking dish.
Assemble the Sliders:
Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the inside of the bottom buns. Layer the sliced roast beef evenly over the buns, then top with slices of provolone cheese. Place the top halves of the buns on the cheese.
Make the Butter Mixture:
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced onion, and garlic powder. Stir until well combined.
Brush the Sliders:
Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the sliders. Make sure each slider is coated with the buttery mixture for a flavorful crust.
Bake the Sliders:
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until the tops are golden brown.
Prepare the Au Jus:
While the sliders are baking, heat the beef consommé or beef broth in a saucepan over medium heat until hot.
Serve:
Serve the sliders warm with the hot beef consommé or broth on the side for dipping. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
