Garlic Bread Meatball Bombs
Ingredients:
1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
12 cooked meatballs (homemade or frozen)
1 cup marinara sauce (optional for dipping)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 tbsp butter, melted
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp dried Italian seasoning
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Biscuit Dough:
Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate each biscuit. Flatten each biscuit round into a 4-5 inch circle.
Assemble the Meatball Bombs:
Place one meatball in the center of each flattened biscuit. Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella cheese over the meatball, then fold the dough over the meatball, pinching the edges together to seal it completely. Repeat with all the biscuits and meatballs.
Prepare the Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese.
Coat the Bombs:
Brush each sealed meatball bomb generously with the garlic butter mixture. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese on top for added flavor and texture.
Bake:
Arrange the meatball bombs on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and fully cooked through.
Serve:
Once out of the oven, garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
