Double Crunch Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
1/4 cup honey
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. Cut each breast in half if they are large.
Make the Dredge:
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and baking powder.
In another bowl, beat the eggs with the milk.
Coat the Chicken:
Dip each chicken breast into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and then back into the flour mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
Fry the Chicken:
Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Make the Sauce:
In a small saucepan, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
In a small bowl, mix the water and cornstarch to make a slurry. Add the slurry to the saucepan and stir until the sauce thickens.
Coat the Chicken:
Place the fried chicken breasts in a large bowl and pour the honey garlic sauce over them. Toss to coat evenly.
Serve:
Serve the Double Crunch Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy with rice, vegetables, or your favorite side dishes.
