French Onion Soup Rice
Ingredients:
1 cup uncooked long grain rice
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed French onion soup
1 can (10.5 oz) beef broth
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup shredded Gruyère or Swiss cheese (optional for garnish)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Combine Ingredients: In a 9×13-inch baking dish, combine the uncooked rice, condensed French onion soup, beef broth, and melted butter. Stir everything together until the rice is evenly coated and the liquids are well mixed.
Bake the Rice: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is fully absorbed. Stir halfway through to ensure even cooking.
Optional Garnish: Once the rice is done, sprinkle the top with shredded Gruyère or Swiss cheese, and return to the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve the French onion soup rice alongside your favorite protein or as a hearty side dish.
