Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta Bake

Ingredients:
2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
12 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
3 cups milk
1 ½ cups chicken broth
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups shredded Parmesan cheese
1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions:
Cook the Pasta:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Make the Sauce:
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Sprinkle the flour into the butter mixture and whisk continuously for 2 minutes to form a roux.
Slowly whisk in the milk and chicken broth, stirring until smooth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
Add Seasonings & Cheese:
Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
Combine the Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, and the garlic Parmesan sauce. Mix until well combined.
Assemble the Bake:
Pour the pasta mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. For a golden finish, broil for 1-2 minutes.
Garnish & Serve:
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve hot.
