Hot Crab Dip recipe
Ingredients:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup sour cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional, for a more traditional seafood flavor)
8 oz lump crab meat (fresh, canned, or imitation)
2 green onions, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Paprika (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a small baking dish (8×8 or similar size) with cooking spray or butter.
Step 2: Mix the Dip Ingredients
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Add the mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, and Old Bay seasoning (if using). Mix until well combined.
Step 3: Fold in the Crab Meat
Gently fold in the crab meat and chopped green onions. Be careful not to overmix, as you want to keep the crab meat in nice chunks.
Taste the mixture and season with salt and pepper as needed.
Step 4: Bake the Dip
Transfer the crab dip mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
For extra flavor and color, sprinkle a bit of paprika over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the top is lightly golden.
Step 5: Serve
Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
Garnish with additional chopped green onions and serve warm with crackers, toasted bread slices, or vegetable sticks
