Pepper Steak in a Crock Pot
Ingredients:
2 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 2-inch strips
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon ground ginger
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 large onion, sliced
3 bell peppers (green, red, yellow), sliced into strips
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. In a slow cooker, combine beef, soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ginger, garlic, and brown sugar.
2. Add the sliced onion and bell peppers to the slow cooker.
3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the beef is tender.
4. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and cold water until smooth. Stir into the slow cooker.
5. Cook on high for an additional 30 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
