Fried S’mores Bombs
Ingredients:
10 large marshmallows
10 chocolate squares (milk or dark chocolate)
10 graham crackers, crushed
1 cup pancake mix (or all-purpose flour)
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Directions:
Prepare Marshmallow Bombs:
Gently press a square of chocolate into each marshmallow, covering the exposed chocolate as much as possible with the marshmallow.
Roll each marshmallow in the crushed graham crackers, pressing lightly so they stick.
Prepare the Batter:
In a small bowl, mix pancake mix (or flour) with water, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until it reaches a smooth, thick batter consistency.
Heat the Oil:
Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (180°C). Make sure the oil is hot enough to fry the bombs quickly without soaking up too much oil.
Coat Marshmallows:
Dip each marshmallow into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated. Let any excess batter drip off.
Fry the S’mores Bombs:
Carefully place the coated marshmallows into the hot oil and fry for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the s’mores bombs using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Garnish:
While still warm, dust the fried s’mores bombs with powdered sugar for an extra sweet touch.
Serve:
Serve immediately while the marshmallow center is still gooey and the chocolate is melted. For extra indulgence, dip the s’mores bombs into melted chocolate or marshmallow fluff before enjoying!
