Shrimp and Gnocchi with Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce Recipe

Shrimp and Gnocchi with Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pound gnocchi, fresh or store-bought
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons butter, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
1/2 cup baby spinach (optional)

Instructions:
1. Cook the Gnocchi:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the Shrimp:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat.
Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make the Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce:
In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the heavy cream and chicken broth, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.
Add the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Combine Everything:
Add the cooked gnocchi and shrimp back into the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. If desired, stir in baby spinach until wilted.
Simmer for an additional 2 minutes to heat everything through.
5. Serve:
Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
