German Crumble Tart

Ingredients:
2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (100 g) sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (170 g) cold butter, cut into small cubes
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120 ml) sour cream
1/4 cup (60 g) sugar (for the filling)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 cups (250 g) fresh or frozen berries (e.g., blueberries, raspberries)

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch tart pan.
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture and use your fingers or a pastry cutter to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until the dough comes together. Reserve 1/2 cup of the dough for the crumb topping.
5. Press the remaining dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared tart pan.
6. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream, 1/4 cup sugar, and cornstarch until smooth. Spread this mixture over the dough in the tart pan.
7. Evenly distribute the berries over the sour cream layer.
8. Crumble the reserved dough over the berries.
9. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
10. Let the tart cool completely before serving.
