Gooey Brownie Pie
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional, for extra gooeyness)
1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade, if preferred)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the pie crust:
Roll out the pre-made pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish, trimming any excess dough around the edges. Set aside.
Make the brownie batter:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully combined.
Add the dry ingredients:
In a separate bowl, sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. If using, fold in the chocolate chips for extra gooeyness.
Assemble the pie:
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
Bake the pie:
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is set but the center is still slightly soft (for a gooey texture).
Cool and serve:
Let the pie cool for about 15-20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce for an extra indulgent treat!
