Crispy Cheddar Chicken
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1/4 cup milk
Instructions:
Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare the coating mixture:
In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, shredded cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Coat the chicken:
Pour the milk into a shallow dish. Dip each chicken breast in the milk, making sure to coat both sides. Then press the chicken into the breadcrumb and cheese mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
Bake the chicken:
Place the coated chicken breasts into the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the melted butter over the chicken for extra crispiness and flavor.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown, crispy, and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
Serve:
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Pair with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, a fresh salad, or roasted veggies.
