Million Dollar Chicken Alfredo Stuffed Shells
Ingredients:
1 lb jumbo pasta shells
3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
2 cups ricotta cheese
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 egg
2 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Cook the Shells:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the jumbo pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
Prepare the Filling:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, ricotta cheese, 1 cup shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, egg, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed and creamy.
Stuff the Shells:
Spread 1 cup of Alfredo sauce evenly over the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the chicken and cheese mixture and place them in the baking dish, open side up.
Top with Alfredo Sauce:
Pour the remaining Alfredo sauce over the stuffed shells, making sure to cover them evenly.
Add Cheese and Bake:
Sprinkle 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the shells. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Broil (Optional):
For a golden, crispy top, remove the foil and broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is slightly browned.
Garnish and Serve:
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
