Cinnamon Delight (Baklava-Inspired Air-Fryer Treat) 🍯✨
“This cinnamon treat reminds me of baklava; but with only a few easy ingredients, it’s a fraction of the work. My Aunt Adele shared the recipe with me, and I think of her whenever I make it. It’s one of my favorite air-fryer snacks!”
🧂 Ingredients:
4 sheets phyllo dough (thawed)
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts (optional)
2 tablespoons honey (for drizzling)
👩🍳 Instructions:
Prepare the phyllo dough: Lay the sheets of phyllo dough flat on a clean surface. Brush each sheet lightly with the melted butter. Repeat the layering process, stacking the sheets on top of one another.
Add cinnamon and sugar: In a small bowl, mix together the ground cinnamon and granulated sugar. Sprinkle a thin layer of the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the stacked phyllo dough.
Roll and slice: Gently roll the layered phyllo dough sheets into a tight cylinder or log shape. Slice it into 1-inch pieces.
Air fry: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the cinnamon rolls in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t touch each other. Air fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Finish and serve: Once cooked, drizzle with honey and sprinkle with chopped walnuts (optional) for a touch of crunch. Serve warm and enjoy!
🍽️ Tips:
For extra flavor, sprinkle a little more cinnamon and sugar on top after air frying.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or yogurt for a dessert twist!
