🍒 Cherry Turnovers
Buttery, flaky puff pastry stuffed with sweet cherry filling and drizzled with vanilla glaze—perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a sweet snack!

1 package puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed
1 cup cherry pie filling (fresh or canned)
1 egg (for egg wash)
1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2–3 tbsp milk (for glaze)
👩‍🍳 Directions:
1. Prep Pastry
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unfold puff pastry sheets and cut each into 4 squares (8 total).
2. Fill & Fold
Spoon 1–2 tbsp cherry filling onto one half of each square, leaving a border.
Fold pastry over filling to form a triangle. Seal edges with a fork.
3. Egg Wash
Whisk egg + 1 tbsp milk. Brush over turnovers.
Cut small slits on top to vent steam.
4. Bake
Bake 15–18 mins until golden and puffed. Cool 5 mins.
5. Glaze
Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, and 2–3 tbsp milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm turnovers.
