My husband walked in after asserting he was away for a five-day business trip.

He seemed worn down, greeted me with a hug, complained about difficult meetings, and spent the night talking about travel disruptions.

All seemed in order.

Later, while undressing for bed, he peeled off his T-shirt.

His back had a noticeable tan.

But right in the middle was an exception.

On untanned skin, the word stood out—seemingly the result of an intentional sunscreen stencil.

CHEATER!

I didn’t say anything.

He was completely unaware.

Not long after, he was fast asleep.

Quietly, I checked through his suitcase.

There were no business-related items. No sign of a conference badge. No receipts from any local eateries.

Instead, I came across a beach wristband, a bit of sand in one shoe, and a receipt for two lounge chairs at a seaside location.

I also found a folded note inside a pocket.

It said:

“I didn’t find out you had a wife until the third day. I’m sorry. He’s been lying to both of us.”

I sat for quite some time.

My initial impulse was to wake him and confront him instantly.

Instead, a more effective plan formed.

The next morning, after he’d gone to work, I activated a prepaid SIM card.

From this new number, I sent a single message.

“I’m the woman you lied to. The one you told you didn’t have a wife. Well… did you really think you’d get rid of me that easily?”

Moments later, the Read notification appeared.

That was only the start of what I had in mind.⬇️
