It was by accident that I learned my neighbors had used my hot tub for more than a year without me knowing — the lesson I gave them was unforgettable.
My husband Tom and I bought our ideal house, which included an impressive backyard and a hot tub.
Recently, neighbor Lisa requested we be quieter in the evenings. I asked, “What night are you talking about?” She mentioned noise and gatherings in our yard on Sunday night. But Tom and I had been out of town that Sunday, so her comment was very odd.
After Lisa’s observation, we became suspicious.
We installed a hidden camera pointed at the hot tub and went on a short weekend trip, leaving the house empty. When we came back and checked the footage, we were speechless. Clearly captured was our neighbor Jim and his family lounging in our hot tub, relaxing, laughing, and having drinks. They even brought their own snacks and towels, making themselves comfortable.
I was furious. HOW DID THEY THINK IT WAS ACCEPTABLE TO USE OUR HOT TUB WITHOUT ASKING?
Tom and I discussed it and decided to ensure they learned a lesson they wouldn’t soon forget.⬇️
