🍬 Homemade Nougat Bars 🍫✨
A chewy, fruity, and nutty delight with creamy white chocolate—no baking required! These nougat bars are as easy as they are irresistible.
🛒 Ingredients:
2 cups white chocolate chips (or chopped white chocolate)
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 cup mixed dried fruits (e.g., apricots, cherries, pineapple, papaya)
1 cup mixed nuts (e.g., almonds, pistachios, cashews)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
👩🍳 Instructions:
Prep the Pan:
Line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal. Lightly grease if needed.
Melt the Base:
In a large saucepan over low heat, combine the white chocolate chips, marshmallows, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir constantly until smooth and fully melted. Be patient and don’t let it boil.
Flavor Boost:
Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Add the Goodies:
Fold in the dried fruits and nuts until everything is evenly distributed.
Press & Chill:
Pour the mixture into your prepared pan. Use a spatula or greased hands to gently press it into an even layer.
Refrigerate:
Chill in the fridge for 2–3 hours, or until completely set.
Slice & Serve:
Lift the nougat slab out using the parchment, then slice into bars or squares. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
💡 Tips:
Swap nuts or fruits based on what you have on hand—macadamias and cranberries are 💯!
For extra crunch, toast your nuts before adding them in.
These make a perfect holiday treat or gift idea!
