Ingredients

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

  • ½ tsp dried thyme

  • ½ tsp dried oregano

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Cajun Butter Sauce:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Salt, to taste

Optional Garnish:

  • Chopped parsley

  • Lemon wedges

Directions

  1. Prep the Shrimp
In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let sit 5–10 minutes for flavors to meld.

  2. Cook the Shrimp
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook 2–3 minutes per side until opaque and blackened. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. Make the Cajun Butter Sauce
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic, smoked paprika, cayenne, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice. Stir until fragrant and well combined. Taste and adjust salt if needed.

  4. Combine & Serve
Return shrimp to the skillet and toss in the Cajun butter sauce until fully coated. Serve immediately with chopped parsley and lemon wedges.
