Honey Chicken
Description
This Honey Chicken recipe is sweet, savory, and sticky in all the right ways. Tender chicken strips are cooked to golden perfection and coated in a quick honey-soy glaze—perfect for weeknight dinners, meal prep, or serving over rice or noodles.
Ingredients
For the Chicken

1 lb (450 g) chicken thighs or breast, cut into strips

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 Tbsp oil (vegetable or olive oil)
For the Honey Glaze

¼ cup soy sauce
-
¼ cup honey
-
1 Tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp ginger, grated (optional)

1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water (for thickening, optional)

Sliced green onions

Season & Cook the Chicken
Season chicken strips with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside. -
Make the Glaze
In the same skillet, combine soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Simmer for 2–3 minutes. If you prefer a thicker glaze, stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens. -
Coat the Chicken
Return cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the honey glaze. Cook for 1–2 minutes to let the flavors meld. -
Serve
Plate chicken over steamed rice, noodles, or vegetables. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
