🛒 Ingredients
For the Sandwiches
-
4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
-
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
-
8 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or Texas toast)
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella
-
16–20 pepperoni slices
-
1/2 cup pizza sauce
-
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Optional Extras
-
A pinch of garlic powder
-
Red pepper flakes
-
Extra Parmesan for topping
-
Mini mozzarella slices for extra melt
🔥 Directions (7 Steps)
1. Make the garlic-Parmesan butter
Mix softened butter with Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder (if using). Spread on one side of each bread slice.
2. Heat the skillet
Warm a large skillet over medium-low heat to prevent burning while still achieving a golden crust.
3. Build the bottom layer
Place butter-side-down bread in the skillet. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on the inside face.
4. Add cheese + pepperoni
Top each slice with mozzarella and pepperoni. Add red pepper flakes if you like heat.
5. Add more sauce + top bread
Spread a light amount of pizza sauce on the inside of the top slice of bread. Place on top, butter-side-up.
6. Toast golden
Cook until golden brown and crispy, 3–4 minutes per side. Press gently with a spatula to melt the cheese evenly.
7. Serve hot & melty
Remove from heat, slice diagonally, and serve immediately with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
