1 lb cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined (medium size; tails removed if desired)

1 cup tomato juice (Clamato recommended for extra depth)

1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)

1/2 cup finely chopped white onion

1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1 medium cucumber, peeled and diced

2 medium tomatoes, seeded and diced

🥣 Directions (7 Steps)
1. Prep the shrimp
If shrimp are large, cut them into bite-size pieces; leave whole if preferred.
2. Mix the sauce base
In a large bowl, whisk together tomato juice, ketchup, and fresh lime juice.
3. Add the veggies
Mix in the onion, cucumber, tomatoes, and cilantro until evenly coated.
4. Add the shrimp
Stir in the cooked shrimp, making sure everything is covered in sauce.
5. Add seasonings
Add salt, pepper, and hot sauce to taste. Adjust lime or ketchup for desired balance.
6. Chill
Refrigerate for at least 20–30 minutes to let flavors meld and mixture get cold.
7. Serve
Spoon into glasses or bowls. Top with avocado (if using) and extra cilantro.
