Ingredients
-
1 lb lean ground beef
-
1 yellow onion, diced
-
8 slices bacon, cooked and chopped into large pieces
-
8β10 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package instructions
-
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
1 (15 oz) jar cheese sauce or homemade cheese sauce
-
Β½ tsp garlic powder
-
Β½ tsp onion powder
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Optional toppings: pickles, ketchup, mustard, or fresh parsley
Directions
1. Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Lightly grease a 9Γ13-inch baking dish or sheet pan.
2. Cook the Bacon and Beef
In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. In the same skillet, cook the ground beef with diced onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain excess fat.
3. Prepare the Pasta
Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and lay flat on a clean surface to prevent sticking.
4. Layer the Lasagna
-
Spread a thin layer of cheese sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
-
Add a layer of lasagna noodles.
-
Spread half of the ground beef mixture over the noodles.
-
Sprinkle with half of the cooked bacon and a mix of cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
-
Repeat with another noodle layer, remaining beef, bacon, and cheese. Finish with a final layer of noodles and cheese sauce.
5. Bake
Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10β15 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden on top.
6. Cool Slightly
Remove from oven and let the lasagna rest for 5β10 minutes before slicing. This helps the layers set and makes serving easier.
7. Serve
Slice into squares and serve hot. Optionally, top with pickles, ketchup, mustard, or fresh parsley for that full bacon cheeseburger experience.
