Ingredients
Seafood

4 oz cooked lobster meat, chopped

4 oz lump crabmeat (fresh or canned, drained)

6 oz medium shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
Bisque Base

2 tbsp butter (for sautéing shrimp)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tbsp all-purpose flour

2 cups seafood stock (or chicken stock)

1 cup heavy cream
-
½ cup whole milk
-
2 tbsp tomato paste
Seasonings

1 tsp Old Bay seasoning

½ tsp paprika
-
¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional Garnish

Fresh parsley or chives

Extra crab or lobster meat

Drizzle of cream
Directions
1️⃣ Sauté the Shrimp
In a large pot or Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat.
Add chopped shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes, just until pink.
Remove shrimp from the pot and set aside.
2️⃣ Build the Flavor Base
Add olive oil to the same pot.
Sauté onion for 4–5 minutes until soft and translucent.
Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
3️⃣ Thicken the Bisque
Sprinkle flour over the onion mixture and stir constantly for 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in seafood stock until smooth.
Stir in tomato paste until fully blended.
4️⃣ Make It Creamy
Lower heat and add heavy cream and milk.
Season with Old Bay, paprika, cayenne (if using), salt, and pepper.
Simmer gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not boil.
5️⃣ Add the Seafood
Return shrimp to the pot along with crab and lobster meat.
Simmer gently 5–7 minutes, just until heated through.
6️⃣ Serve
Ladle into bowls and garnish with herbs or extra seafood. Serve warm with crusty bread.
