Ingredients
-
4 large croissants (store-bought or fresh bakery)
-
½ lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
-
1 tablespoon butter
-
1 garlic clove, minced
-
2 tablespoons cream cheese (optional, for creamier filling)
-
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
Optional: lemon zest or a squeeze of lemon juice
Directions
1️⃣ Prep the Shrimp
Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add chopped shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Stir in cream cheese and parsley if using, then remove from heat.
2️⃣ Prep the Croissants
Slice each croissant horizontally to create a pocket. Be careful not to cut all the way through.
3️⃣ Stuff the Croissants
Spoon the shrimp mixture evenly into each croissant pocket. Press gently to close.
4️⃣ Optional Finish
-
For extra crispiness, brush croissants with melted butter and toast in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5–7 minutes.
-
Garnish with additional parsley or a light squeeze of lemon.
5️⃣ Serve
Serve warm as a luxurious brunch dish or an indulgent snack. Pair with a side salad, fresh fruit, or your favorite dipping sauce.
