🧾 Ingredients

🍤 Shrimp

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • ½ cup buttermilk

  • ½ cup cornstarch

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • Vegetable oil, for frying

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley or green onions (garnish)

🌶️ Bang Bang Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce

  • 1–2 tbsp Sriracha (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar

  • 1 tsp rice vinegar or fresh lime juice


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Bang Bang Sauce

In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, and vinegar until smooth and creamy. Set aside — this sauce is the flavor bomb!


2️⃣ Coat the Shrimp

  • Toss shrimp in buttermilk until coated.

  • In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch, flour, salt, and pepper.

  • Dredge shrimp thoroughly in the flour mixture.


3️⃣ Fry Until Crispy

  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).

  • Fry shrimp in batches for 2–3 minutes, until golden and crisp.

  • Drain on paper towels.


4️⃣ Sauce It Up

While shrimp are still hot, toss gently with the bang bang sauce until evenly coated and glossy.


5️⃣ Garnish & Serve

Sprinkle with parsley or green onions and serve immediately.
