🛒 Ingredients

  • 8 oz lo mein or yakisoba noodles

  • ½ lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

  • ½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 cup baby spinach or bok choy

  • ½ red bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • ½ cup shredded carrots

  • ½ yellow onion, sliced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper (optional)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

👩‍🍳 Methods / Instructions

1️⃣ Sear the Steak

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a hot wok or large skillet.

  2. Toss in steak cubes, season lightly with salt and pepper, and sear until browned on all sides.

  3. Remove steak and set aside—this locks in juices and creates deep, meaty flavor.

2️⃣ Cook the Shrimp

  1. In the same pan, add shrimp.

  2. Sauté until just pink and curled, about 2–3 minutes.

  3. Remove and set aside with steak.

3️⃣ Stir-Fry the Veggies

  1. Add garlic, onion, bell pepper, shredded carrots, and greens to the pan.

  2. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until tender-crisp.

  3. Optional: sprinkle in crushed red pepper for heat.

4️⃣ Toss in Noodles and Sauce

  1. Add cooked noodles to the pan.

  2. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil.

  3. Toss to coat evenly—this is where the noodles soak up all that flavor.

5️⃣ Combine Steak, Shrimp, and Veggies

  1. Return steak and shrimp to the pan.

  2. Stir well to mix everything and heat through.

  3. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or extra soy sauce if needed.
