🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)

  • 1 cup white vinegar

  • 1 cup water

  • ½ cup olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional, balances acidity)

  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional but classic)

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced

  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill or parsley, chopped

1️⃣ Cook the Shrimp

  • Bring a pot of water and vinegar to a gentle boil.

  • Add shrimp and cook just until pink, about 2–3 minutes.

  • Drain immediately and rinse with cold water to stop cooking.
