Ingredients (Serves 8–10)
-
1 package phyllo dough, thawed (about 16 oz / 450 g)
-
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
-
2 cups crushed Oreo cookies (with cream filling)
-
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (optional – walnuts, pecans, or almonds)
-
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, for extra flavor)
-
For the syrup:
-
1 cup sugar
-
1/2 cup water
-
1/4 cup honey
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1 teaspoon lemon juice
-
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Prepare Phyllo
Unroll the phyllo dough and cover it with a clean, damp kitchen towel to prevent drying out. Phyllo dries very quickly, so this step is important.
3️⃣ Layer Butter & Phyllo
Brush the bottom of the prepared pan with melted butter. Place a sheet of phyllo dough in the pan and brush with more butter. Repeat 4–5 sheets, layering butter between each.
4️⃣ Add Oreo Filling
Sprinkle about 1/3 of the crushed Oreos evenly over the phyllo layers. If using, sprinkle half of the chopped nuts and a pinch of cinnamon on top.
