INGREDIENTS
For the Crust Base
1½ cups crushed vanilla wafers
4 tbsp melted unsalted butter
For the Banana Pudding Layer
1 (3.4 oz) box instant banana pudding mix
1½ cups cold milk
1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip or similar)
For the Cake Layer
1 box vanilla cake mix (or your favorite homemade recipe)
Ingredients as listed on box (eggs, oil, water)
For the Whipped Cream Layer
2 cups heavy whipping cream
¼ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
For Topping
Sliced bananas
Crushed vanilla wafers
Mini vanilla cookies
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare cake mix according to instructions and bake in two 9-inch round pans. Let cool completely.
2. Mix crushed vanilla wafers with melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9×13 dish or cake base. Chill in the fridge to set.
3. In a bowl, whisk banana pudding mix and milk for 2 minutes. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over the crust. Chill for 15 minutes.
4. Place one cake layer over the pudding layer. Pipe or spread whipped cream over it.
5. Add the second cake layer. Top with whipped cream. Decorate with sliced bananas, crushed wafers, and mini cookies.
6. Chill for 1–2 hours before slicing for best texture.
