Cajun-Style Surf and Turf

Ingredients:
2 filet mignon steaks
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon wedges for serving

Directions:
Season the steaks with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or to desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, melt butter. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, seasoning with garlic powder and a pinch of Cajun seasoning.
Remove shrimp and set aside. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
Let the sauce simmer for 3-5 minutes, thickening slightly. Return shrimp to the pan and coat in sauce.
Serve steaks with shrimp on top, drizzled with the creamy Cajun sauce and lemon wedges on the side. Enjoy with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
