Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles
Ingredients:
8 oz noodles (spaghetti, lo mein, or rice noodles)
1 lb ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
½ teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
2 green onions, sliced
1 tablespoon sesame oil or vegetable oil
Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the Noodles:
Boil noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the Beef:
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
3. Make the Sauce:
Add garlic and ginger to the beef. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, and chili flakes. Simmer for 2 minutes.
4. Thicken the Sauce:
Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
5. Combine with Noodles:
Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat evenly.
6. Serve:
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve warm.
