Loaded Chili Cheese Dog Lettuce Wrap Bake
A lighter take on that cozy chili dog casserole, swapping buns for crisp lettuce and keeping all the cheesy comfort.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
8–10 beef hot dogs, halved lengthwise
1 (15 oz) can chunky no‑bean chili
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 head Boston or butter lettuce, leaves separated and washed
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)
Butter or nonstick spray (for greasing baking dish)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain excess fat.
Stir in chili, garlic powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 4–5 minutes.
Arrange lettuce leaves evenly in the bottom of the baking dish (they’ll soften during baking).
Spoon the chili mixture over the lettuce layer.
Place hot dog halves lined up across the chili.
Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with green onions before serving. Enjoy!
