Strawberry Pie
Sweet, refreshing, and bursting with strawberry flavor, this classic Strawberry Pie is easy to make with just a few simple ingredients. Perfect for summer gatherings or as a nostalgic dessert anytime!
Ingredients:
1 (9-inch) frozen pie crust, baked
1 cup sugar
1 ½ cups water
¼ cup cornstarch
1 lb fresh strawberries, sliced
1 (3 oz) package strawberry gelatin (Jello)
Instructions:
Bake the Crust: Prepare the pie crust according to package instructions, then set aside to cool.
Prepare the Filling: In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Slowly whisk in cornstarch, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
Thicken the Mixture: Continue stirring for 4-5 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and turns slightly clear.
Add Gelatin: Remove from heat and whisk in the strawberry gelatin until fully dissolved. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
Add Strawberries: Once cooled, add sliced strawberries to the gelatin mixture, stirring to coat the strawberries evenly.
Assemble the Pie: Pour the strawberry filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it out evenly.
Chill and Set: Place the pie in the refrigerator and chill for 2-3 hours, or until set.
