Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups brown sugar, packed
½ cup pure maple syrup
½ cup heavy cream
¼ tsp salt
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 ½ cups chopped pecans, toasted
Directions:
Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving overhangs for easy removal.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar, maple syrup, heavy cream, and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture begins to boil. Reduce heat slightly and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the mixture to cool for about 10 minutes.
Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, beat in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
Fold in the toasted pecans. Quickly pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set. Once firm, lift the fudge out using the parchment paper and cut it into squares.
