Marinated Grilled Hot Dogs
Ingredients:
8 beef or turkey hot dogs
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional, for sweetness)
1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Buns for serving
Directions:
Make the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika (if using), black pepper, and brown sugar (if desired). Whisk until the marinade is smooth and the sugar is dissolved.
Marinate the Hot Dogs: Place the hot dogs in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the hot dogs, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours. For extra flavor, you can marinate overnight.
Grill the Hot Dogs: Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Remove the hot dogs from the marinade and discard any leftover liquid. Grill the hot dogs for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are heated through and have grill marks.
Serve: Place the grilled hot dogs in buns and garnish with chopped parsley or any toppings of your choice, such as onions, mustard, ketchup, or relish.
Optional Variations: For extra flavor, you can add sautéed onions, grilled peppers, or a drizzle of your favorite sauce to the top of the hot dogs.
